Private family house

PROJECT TYPE

Residential

LOCATION

Thermi, Thessaloniki, Greece

Eterna Home is a private family residence in Thermi, Thessaloniki, designed with a focus on quiet sophistication and enduring comfort. Every element— from the carefully selected materials to the precise lighting design— is intended to support a way of living that is both functional and deeply considered.

Material Precision and Thoughtful Light

The home’s interior is defined by a measured use of texture and tone. Neutral hues, natural wood, and subtle contrasts create an atmosphere of calm without feeling static. Matte and polished finishes are balanced throughout, while concealed lighting adds dimension without drawing attention to itself. The result is a home that feels cohesive, with every material choice reinforcing the overall clarity of design.

The Kitchen and Living Area: A Seamless Whole

The open-plan kitchen and living area function as the center of daily life. Oak cabinetry and white marble surfaces define the kitchen, where a streamlined island serves both practical and social functions. The adjacent dining space features a sculptural table and seating that complement the materiality of the kitchen. In the living area, built-in shelving integrates storage with display, framing a linear fireplace beneath a minimalist media wall. The furniture layout prioritizes both comfort and movement, allowing the space to be equally suited to conversation or quiet retreat.

Private Spaces with a Distinctive Character

Each bedroom maintains the home’s tonal restraint while introducing variations in texture and lighting. The master suite is a composition of muted earth tones and dark linear accents, with custom millwork providing both function and rhythm to the space. In the children’s rooms, integrated desks and shelving create an environment suited for both rest and study, emphasizing efficiency without sacrificing warmth.

Bathrooms: Precision and Simplicity

The bathrooms follow the same disciplined approach as the rest of the home. Large-format stone surfaces, floating vanities, and recessed lighting ensure a clean visual language, free of unnecessary ornamentation. Black fixtures punctuate the neutral palette, reinforcing the clarity of the design. The walk-in shower is framed with glass to maintain openness, while carefully placed shelving keeps the space organized without disrupting its simplicity.

Outdoor Space: Designed for Everyday Use

The exterior living areas extend the home’s material sensibility into an outdoor setting. A covered dining space, complete with a built-in barbecue and bar, is positioned for easy access and natural flow. The seating area is arranged to maximize both openness and shade, with retractable pergola slats that adjust to shifting light conditions. An elevated jacuzzi is integrated into the layout, offering a place to unwind without disrupting the clean geometry of the outdoor design.

Eterna Home is built on principles of clarity, material honesty, and longevity. Its spaces are designed to be lived in— not as static compositions but as adaptable environments that support the rhythms of daily life. Without relying on excessive embellishment or trend-driven gestures, this home achieves a sense of quiet distinction that will remain relevant for years to come.
